Peter Kyle is the current MP for Hove and Portslade, and we’re genuinely chuffed to have him speak at Hove Town Hall.
Peter is a true local boy. Born in West Sussex, he moved to Brighton in 1996 and attended Sussex University. Here he gained a doctorate in community development, the seeds from which his future career as a Labour MP were sewn.
Before taking office in 2015, he co-founded the video production company Fat Sand. He also worked as an aid worker in Eastern Europe and was appointed chief executive of Working For Youth, a business-led initiative that tackles UK youth unemployment.
He’ll be reflecting on these, his personal story, and the numerous roles he’s inhabited within parliament during this hour-long talk about his life. We can’t wait!
We have the delicious Bagelman, generously providing Bagels for this event, we hear they are a favourite of Peter's.
