“Living by the sea” might be one of the stock replies when people ask about the benefits of living in Brighton. But answer us this: how often do you actually go swimming in our grainy English Channel?
Come join us for a bracing dip near where the new Sea Lanes centre will be, led by coach Andy White from Sea Lanes Brighton. After an introduction, Andy will lead a brief fitness and training session before giving us some coaching tips. Then we’ll head out into the big blue (okay: grey-ish blue) and put everything he’s said into practice.
So whether you swim once or year or are one of the nutters who go all year-round, come get involved. Armbands not allowed. (Unless you don’t mind us taking pictures.)
Meeting point is by the old Peter Pan site on Madeira Drive.
What is Sea Lanes Brighton?
Sea Lanes Brighton will be an outdoor heated swimming pool, open all year round. Alongside the pool there will be shops, studios, offices and eateries, all with a sport and wellbeing theme. It’s going to be rad.
